EWL President presents EWL campaign at Portuguese conference on trafficking and prostitution
Movimento democratico de mulheres (Democratic Movement of Women) organises an international conference entitled ’Tráfico de Mulheres - Romper Silêncios’ (Trafficking in women - Break the silence) in Lisbon on 3 February.
It will give the opportunity to EWL President Brigitte Triems to present the EWL campaign ’Together for a Europe free from prostitution’ and call for support from organisations, decision-makers and individuals.
The conference will address trafficking in women in Portugal, then presents examples of campaigns, responses and policies to combat prostitution and trafficking. The closure of the conference will be about the EWL campaign, which has been launched in Portugal by EWL member organisation PpDM last October.
